Cheesesteak Skillet

    Servings: 6

    Ingredients:

    • 1 lb thinly sliced/shaved beef (or ground beef)
    • 1 yellow onion (chopped)
    • 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
    • ½ lb Yukon gold potatoes (diced)
    • 2 oz mushrooms (sliced)
    • 2 TBS olive oil
    • 2 TBS Worcestershire sauce
    • 2 TBS ketchup
    • 2 TBS mustard
    • 1 ½ tsp Italian seasoning
    • ½ tsp paprika
    • ½ tsp onion powder
    • ½ tsp garlic powder
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ¼ tsp black pepper
    • 8 slices provolone

    Directions:
    Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onion and bell pepper until softened. Add meat, cook until no longer pink, coarsely breaking the meat apart (you want it kinda chunky). Stir in potatoes, cook about 5 minutes.

    Stir in Worcestershire and ketchup. Stir to coat. Stir in Italian seasoning, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir will to combine. Stir in mushrooms.

    Cover, reduce heat the medium-low, allow to simmer 20-30 minutes. Remove cover and stir.

    Arrange cheese slices over the top. Replace the lid and allow the cheese to melt. 5-10 minutes.
